very good piece

It reminds me of an empire in the Bronze/Archaic age, this would very well fit with that old game, Age of Empires One.

Good use of percussion, what program/sounds do you use, FL studio i would guess?? it adds a good "epic" feel to the music, the timpani does. at one point in the song, however, (1:30 i beleieve) the clarinet becomes to shrill, almost like it's shrieking, unlike it's flowing melodic sound at the beggining.

i like the cello/background strings, they were very exciting and interesting, which is a good thing to keep the song from getting boring. i 5'd and downloaded it, this is a really cool song!

hey, are you that guy with those great sex stories

nice song here. oh, sorry for the late review, you reviewed my song a while a go and i guess i forgot to return the favor :D

im sorta glad i waited though, because this song is pretty awesome. where did you get that cheering crowd sound? i really need it.

nice snare that you used, the piano was cool and reverbed too. you had great variation in this song, the song never really repeated exactly the same way and diversity is a huge factor in making a good song, like this one!

i like the intro, what did you use to make that effect? or was it a preset? no matter, this song is cool, catchy, and i like it! i gave it a 5/5 and 9/10 in case you care :P

keep it up!

Trunks responds:

Lol I'm just glad you bothered ever reviewing it, thanks a lot! ^_^

The cheering sound was part of a sample pack that I got from VIPzone samples, forget which.....

I think it's my best work, not to sound overproud or anything.

It was white noise phased and with volume variations :D

Thanks for the review and votes!

lol

"few" fans?

awesome!

this is one of the best Old school VG songs i have heard in a while! if you ever make another one of these, try out some 8 bit square synths to make it sound even more classic and cool! great job!

Metalcan responds:

Thanks a lot! Actually, I've been checking out a free program called MilkyTracker, which is perfect for this kind of music, so I'll probably use that for this kind of music in the future.

yup

what program do you use

nice

cool song and a cool name. the 303 seemed a bit raw though, too "preset-ful", but its still a much better loop than i could make. oh yea and, first review! woot!

wow man, this is really good

this suprised me, its very good! the synths you used are good, i like that hollow square lead. good beats and effects, i like it all.

the bass was weak but cool, the heavy punchy kick made up for it though so its all good.

i fived it. drop me a review if you want/have the chance. any opinion is greatly appreciated.

Thanks, but why the zero?

I agree with most of what the other people said...

...great for your first song. Nice melody, good semi discrete use of panning.
I like the beat too. maybe a bit repetitive but hell its your first submittion so im not complaining. I have 2 tips for you, however:

1) Don't just use the raw presets, tweak them a bit to your liking, that will usually improve the sound of it.

2) use a bit more instruments, you had what, 5? just keep in mind for future songs try to put in maybe a bass and different instruments for different melodies or just patterns altogether.

i can see you will become a good audio portal artist very soon. visit my audio page, i would like to get a review from you to see what you think about my music.

cool song, i fived

i like the heavy beat and bassline. what program do you use?

good use of percussion, this is a very powerful piece but it was sometimes a bit repetitive. i like the lead you used which had the melody. cool little square in the backround too.

good ending, but why is there 30 empty seconds at the end of the song? the intro was cool too, it sounded like a car rolling on gravel , and the wind was nice too. where do you get this fx?

check out my music too if you have the chance, i would appreciate your opinion on my songs. the new review system is fun too :)

-Exodus

ok, why the hell does this have such a low score.

my new song got zeroed too though. i fived your song to bring it up, but i would have fived it anyway so don't worry lol.

cool percussion, especially in the intro. very original snare roll. i like.

nice synth. gave it a party feel. like your in a club dancing with a colored strobe light. gave me a space feeling like alot of trance does.

good use of delay on the piano. great panning on the snares. love the beat, its great that finally someone on NG made a trance song without the generic kick/hat/kick/hat.

cymbal crashes were positioned perfectly. but when it all builds up to the awesome part, i can really see a gate there, maybe not as a melody/harmony but atleast in the backround playing the chord progression. not really critisism, but it will have to do.

you are obviously great at trance, this all leaves me with the classic question: which program do you use? also, i just released a new song, Facing Reality, it would be nice to get your expirienced opinion on it :)

good job on this, like i said, an overall great song. it was quite enjoyable.
